The SAXY Music Festival was created with a bold vision: to establish Columbus, Georgia, as a premier destination for world-class jazz while celebrating the city's rich musical heritage and vibrant arts community.

Although Columbus has long been recognized for its outstanding musical talent, there has never been a signature annual festival dedicated exclusively to the artistry, innovation, and cultural impact of jazz. The SAXY Music Festival is designed to fill that role by bringing nationally recognized performers, exceptional regional artists, and emerging talent together for an unforgettable celebration of music.

More than a concert, the festival is an investment in our community. By partnering with the nationally and internationally respected brands, local organizations, businesses, and civic leaders, we aim to create opportunities that inspire the next generation of musicians, support arts education, attract visitors, and generate meaningful economic impact throughout the Columbus region.

By bringing accomplished performers together with the talented students of the Schwob School of Music, we hope to inspire the next generation of artists while strengthening the local arts community and contributing to the local economy.
